DOHA: The Qatar meat and livestock company- Mawashi- will import 75,000 sheep from different countries to meet an expected surge in demand during the forthcoming Eid Al Adha.
The additional stocks will be brought from countries including Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Sudan, Ethiopia, Somalia and Turkey.
The abattoirs will be open immediately after the Eid prayers until 7pm on the first day of Eid. The electronic abattoir will be used only for the Australian sheep, said the official.
