Mount Arafat: The Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and head of Qatari Haj Mission, H E Dr Ghaith bin Mubarak Al Kuwari, yesterday resumed inspection tours and saw accommodation sites for pilgrims from Qatar.
The tour covered all sites of Qatari pilgrims in Mount Arafat where the Minister inquired about their conditions and was assured of their safety and comfort by Haj officials and contractors.
Earlier, he said the goal of the mission was to serve Qatar pilgrims and ensure all comfort and safety requirements are met to allow them to perform pilgrimage smoothly, adding that this reflects the interest of the Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani in Qatar pilgrims’ safety.
He said his inspection tours, which began on Wednesday, aimed at ensuring preparations were over and learning about latest arrangements being made to ensure a successful Haj season.
He was accompanied by Ali bin Mubarak Al Faihani, Executive Director of the mission. QNA
