Minister to inaugurate meet on Prophet Muhammad

A conference to be held tomorrow under the title “This Is The  Prophet’, will be inaugurated by H E Dr Ghaith bin Mubarak bin Imran Al Kuwari, Minister of Awqaf & Islamic Affairs.

This was announced by the conference organizing committee officials at a press conference. The conference will be held from 5.30pm at Omar Bin Khattab Educational Complex, near Al Sadd Sports Roundabout. 

The event, they added, will focus on the legacy of Prophet Mohammed (Peace be upon him) as a guide to humanity and will expose the conspiracies behind attempts aimed at defaming his great personality through cinemas, cartoons and other media under the pretext of the ‘freedom of expression’. 

Speeches on ‘The Prophet between love & hatred’  and ‘The Prophet of Humanity’, ‘The Prophet – sought by the new world’  will be given respectively  by K N Sulaiman Nadvi, President, Indian Islahi Centre, Qatar, P Surendran, renowned social activist and writer from Kerala, and P MujeebRahman, General Secretary of Jamaate Islami, Kerala. Felicitation speeches will be given by the Directors of FANAR, Qatar Charity, Idarat Al Dawwa, RAF-Charity, Shaikh Jassim Foundation and the office bearers of various Indian Socio Cultural organizations. 

Transport will be arranged from different areas of Qatar to the conference venue to assist those who require transport facility to reach the venue, organizers said. There will be separate seating for ladies.  The event will be broadcast through live-streaming at websites like: www.iiaqatar.org&www.jihkerala.org.
