22,000 avail of govt services in 2013-14

DOHA: The government provides 170 services through its various centres.
During 2013-14 (April 2013 to March 2014), some 22,000 people benefited from the services in Mesaimeer, Al Wakra, Umm Salal and Al Zubara.
Al Wakra topped the list of service centres in terms of turnout as it accounted for 42 percent of the total.
The Mesaimeer Service Complex ranked second with a share of 37 percent in the total, Umm Salal’s share was 18 percent and Al Zubara’s was three percent.
Citing details from the Annual Achievement Book released by the Secretariat-General of the Cabinet for 2013-14, the local Arabic daily Al Raya said some eight ministries and departments provide services through these centres in addition to Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa).
