Riyadh: The GCC Secretary- General, Dr Abdullatif Al Zayani, welcomed the report of the FIFA Ethics Committee’s Adjudicatory Chamber, which affirmed the integrity of Qatar’s 2022 World Cup bid.
Dr Al Zayani said the decision proved the righteousness of the bidding process and the integrity of voting. He said the decision refutes malicious accusations and false allegations sought to stir up confusion and distort Qatar’s bid to host the World Cup. He expressed confidence that the world will see a distinguished sports event in Doha in 2022.
