Doha: German Ambassador Angelika Renate Storz-Chakarji visited the Qatar International Boat Show at Mourjan Marinas, Lusail City, north of downtown Doha.
She visited the Blohm + Voss and Lurssen stands to show support for the German boat yards. Both are acknowledged as two of the world’s leading superyacht shipyards.
Blohm + Voss and Lurssen have been manufacturing high quality boats since 1877 and 1875, respectively.
The ambassador also visited a super-dhow from Al Mannai Marine — a unique design which looks like a traditional dhow from outside, but gives the feeling of a superyacht inside. “The high quality build of the boat, which combines tradition and modern technology is astounding,” she said.
