The most decorated female track and field athlete, Allyson Felix, choose the warm-up track in Aspire Zone Foundation for her routine training.
Felix is in Doha to participate at the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) General Assembly.
Commenting on her visit to Doha, she said: “I’m glad to be back in Doha for the 14th time in 11 years as part of the delegation representing the Los Angeles Olympic bid. In one of my previous visits to Doha, I took a detailed tour around Aspire Zone and its member organisations Aspire Academy and Aspetar.
"I was really impressed by the facilities. They are some of the best I’ve seen globally. What’s great about Aspire and its training programmes and services is that they are all in one place, offering easy access to a comprehensive training programme for visiting athletes. That is why I have chosen it as my training destination,” she added.
Felix has won a total of nine Olympic medals, six of which are gold, making her the most decorated woman in US track and field history.
The LA-born star athlete is taking part in the ANOC assembly, being hosted today and tomorrow by Qatar, as an athlete ambassador for the Los Angeles 2024 Olympic Games bid.
