Qatar shooters bag two medals at World Military Championship

Hosts Qatar opened their medals account at the 49th CISM World Military Shooting Championship by clinching a silver and bronze in the team events in the ongoing event at the Losail Shooting Range.
Qatar took the second place in the men’s team event of Trap finishing behind China, while the women team took the bronze in the 50m Rifle 60 Prone.
In the men’s team Trap, China took the first place while Italy took the third position.
In the Trap Women Team Event, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea took the gold medal ahead of China and the host Qatar took bronze.
 In the 50m Rifle 60 Prone Women Team event, China took the first place of the competition ahead of Germany.
Both teams finished with the same total of points but China managed to take the gold medal thanks to a better result in the last series!. Korea took the bronze medal. Two Olympic medalists and two Olympic Records holders will compete in the CISM Event this year: Sylwia Bogacka (Poland), silver medallist in the London 2012 OG in the 10m Air Rifle Event, Jean Quiquampoix (France), silver medalist in the 25m Rapid Fire Pistol Men Event at the Rio 2016 Alexey Klimov (Russia), Olympic Record at the OG London 2012 (592) in the 25m Rapid Fire Pistol Men and Löw Andreas (Germany), Olympic Record at the Rio 2016 (140) in Double Trap Men.
Meanwhile, the Anti-Doping Committee, headed by Dr. Fatma Khamis Al Malki had to gather to talk about the situation and check if they would have enough tests until the end of the Championships.
"Indeed, every new World Record holder has to be tested for drugs.  The Anti-Doping Committee working in the shadow, but I really want to thank them for their support and hard work,” declared Colonel Bruno Wolfensberger.
