Qualifier Adrian Waller of Eng)land stunned Nicolas Mueller Switzerland 3-1 (6-11, 11-5, 11-8, 12-10) to move into the second round of the Qatar Classic 2016.
At the Khlifa International Squash Complex, Waller took 62 minutes to defeat Mueller.
In the other matches, Zahed Mohamed of Egypt defeated Tom Richards of England 11-6, 12-10, 11-4 in 26 minutes.
Cesar Salazar of Mexico got the better of Omar Abdel Meguid of Egypt 11-5, 11-8, 9-11, 15-13, while
Ryan Cuskelly of Australia edged Max Lee of Hong Kong 3-11, 11-9, 11-6, 11-13, 11-9.
Daryl Selby of England had success against second seed Omar Mosaad of Egypt 11-9, 5-11, 2-11, 11-9, 11-2 in 69 minutes, while third seed Karim Abdel Gawad of Egypt downed qualifier Mohamed Reda of Egypt in 41 minutes 9-11, 11-6, 11-4, 11-3.
The secopnd round action continues today with top seed Mohmmed Al Shorbagy taking the field as he bid to win his third successive title in Qatar.
