DOHA: Qatar’s first Malayalam radio station, Malayalam 98.6 FM, as part of their first anniversary celebrations, joined hands with Sky Jewellery and  will be flying off to beautiful and scenic Sri Lanka with their listeners.

‘Sky Jewellery Fly with Malayalam 98.6 FM’, the destination revealing show on air and FB live, was revealed on air at the radio station in Doha by Sri Lanka’s Acting Ambassador to Qatar, Kohla Rangan. The winners will get the opportunity to fly to Sri Lanka and stay and tour  in the country lasting for four nights and three days,

The envoy also mentioned how Sri Lanka’s best transport facilities, hotels and new changes have brought tourists and  lead them to the island nation.

Sri Lanka has been chosen the world’s most tourist-friendly country of 2019 by Lonelyplanet. From about 4,47,890 tourists in 2009, the number of tourists rocketed to 2.1 million in the last year. According to the Sri Lanka’s Tourism Development Authority,  this record is expected to double  by 2020.

He also praised the  Malayalam 98.6 FM Radio for choosing Sri Lanka as its first destination in this first of a kind event in Qatar’s Radio history as part of its anniversary. The Ambassador also praised Radio Malayalam 98.6 FM and its team members.
