Doha: Qatar Football Association (QFA) said that the focus during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 should be on football, thanking the international football association for calling on focusing on football during the World Cup.
QFA said in an official statement that the World Cup in Qatar should be an opportunity for unity and celebration of love for the game rather than focusing on anything that impacts this global event. The statement highlighted that football, as the world's most popular sport, plays an important role in enhancing the lives of people and societies, especially since it sends a message of peace and unity among people away from violence.
QFA welcomed all the teams that arrived in the State of Qatar to participate in the World Cup, and those who are set to arrive in the next few hours, wishing them a pleasant stay in Qatar.
