US drone strike kills six

Islamabad: At least six people were killed and two injured in a drone strike in Mach Magai area of Loi Shalman near Khyber Agency yesterday.
According to political administration, two missiles were fired while a boat in River Kabul was targeted in the strike. Six people were killed while two others injured in the drone attack, administration added. The last drone strike was carried out in Hangu that killed also six people. Massive protests were sparked against the drone strikes. 
Ex-chief justice seeks security
ISLAMABAD: Former Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Chaudhry has sought police escort and a bulletproof vehicle for security, claiming that he is under threat.
Chaudhry, while in office, had a contingent of 50 security personnel who escorted him on seven vehicles or were deployed at his official residence.
A police officer said two vehicles and 12 personnel are still with the former chief justice, which will also be withdrawn in a month or two.
UAE to set up $170m refinery 
ISLAMABAD: Sultan Al Ghurair, the director of business development Al Ghurair Investment of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, has announced that his group plans to invest $170m by setting up a refinery in Pakistan.
He announced the plan in a meeting with Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, says a press release issued here yesterday.
During the meeting, Al Ghurair informed Dar that his group plans to invest an amount of $170m for constructing a refinery in Pakistan which will have the capacity to refine 100,000 barrels per day.
