Doha, Qatar: The Sheikh Abdulla Bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center has launched a specialised training programme in the Republic of Mauritius aimed at developing the skills of Arabic language teachers. The programme features the participation of ten male and female educators and reflects the Center’s commitment to sharing its expertise and experience with Islamic institutions around the world in the field of Arabic language education.
Dr. Saleh bin Ali Al-Marri, Director of the Center, stated that these international training programmes represent a valuable opportunity to exchange knowledge with similar institutions worldwide. He emphasised that such initiatives contribute to the wider promotion of the Arabic language, strengthen cultural communication, and reinforce global appreciation of a language that serves as a cultural bridge connecting numerous peoples across the world.
The training programme covers several key areas, including the use of artificial intelligence in teaching Arabic as a foreign language, modern teaching and instructional skills, the integration of technology in education, and strategies for addressing individual differences among learners. It also focuses on enhancing teachers’ abilities in pronunciation, reading, conversation, and effective classroom management.
