DOHA: The Qatar Exchange in the green area Wednesday adding 19.70 points (or 0.23%) to advance to 8,577.66 points from 8,557.96 Tuesday.
The volume of the shares traded fell to 2,860,301 from 5,124,070 on Tuesday, and the value of shares decreased to QR134,003,713.27 from QR263,139,155.48 Tuesday.
Among the top gainers were Qatar National Bank which was up 0.52% to QR134.10, Industries Qatar rose 0.56% to QR160.90, Commercial Bank of Qatar gained 0.82% to QR73.50 and Doha Insurance up by 2.20% to QR27.85.
The Banking and Financial sector index was up 0.38 points while Consumer Goods and Services sector index rose 0.74 points. The industrial sector was gained 0.23 points while insurance sector added 0.15 points. (QNA)
