Doha: Ooredoo has announced a new partnership that will see it sponsor leading motorcycle racers Mashel Al Naimi and Fahid Al Sowaidi for the Qatar International Superbike Championship season.
Organised by Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation, the championship comprises seven events, with the points earned in each race counting towards the final championship.
This is the second year that Ooredoo has sponsored the team, and the company expects big things from the two emerging champions. With upcoming races in February, March, May and June, Ooredoo aims to use the excitement generated by the competition to encourage more people to get involved in sport.
Mustafa Al Qatami, Director, Branding & Corporate Communications, Ooredoo, said: “Ooredoo supports sport at all levels, from the grassroots through to champions at the pinnacle of their respective sports. We are delighted to be working with Mashel Al Naimi and Fahid Al Sowaidi again, since motorbike racing is a key sport that captures the imagination of young Qataris, and we believe we can use our sponsorship to encourage more people to get involved and get more from life.”
