The Transport Section of MES Indian School conducted an awareness training cum orientation programme for its transport staff on January 13 at the KG Auditorium of the school.
Abdul Kalam, Transport officer, MES Indian School conducted the orientation programme as per the suggestions of the ISO external auditing carried out recently at the school.
About 180 transport staff participated in the day-long orientation.
Various topics of importance, such as methods of low speed driving, discretionary use of fog lights, tactful maneuvering between tracks during fog, the importance of reassuring confidence to the passengers, especially school children on board were covered extensively during the training session.
Inaugurating the orientation, Hameeda Kadar, the school principal emphasized the importance of the transport staff’s adherence to be punctual, ensure the buses reach the school on time while prioritising the safety of the children on board and desist from using mobile phones while driving.
Various methods and tips suggested tackling different situations proved to be useful to the attendees of the session.
