Bogota: The Emir H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani yesterday held a round of official talks with Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos at the presidential palace of Casa de Narino.

H E Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem bin Jabor Al Thani attended the session along with members of the official delegation accompanying the Emir. It was attended as well by a number of ministers and senior officials from the Colombian side.
The talks covered bilateral relations between the two countries and means of enhancing and developing them in all fields. A range of regional and international issues of mutual concern were also reviewed.
After the meeting, the Emir and the Colombian president witnessed the signing of a number of agreements and memorandums of understanding, including an agreement on air services between the two governments, and an MoU in the sports field between Qatar Olympic Committee and Colombian Olympic Committee, an MoU between Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Colombian Confederation of Chambers of Commerce, and another two in the fields of mining and investment.
