DOHA: Minister of Energy and Industry H E Dr Mohammed bin Saleh Al Sada yesterday toured a number of strategic projects of Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa). Kahramaa President Issa bin Hilal Al Kuwari accompanied him.
The Minister’s visit was aimed at reviewing the progress of Kahramaa’s key projects.
These projects are aimed at ensuring the smooth supply of electricity and water in line with the burgeoning demand of the utilities.
The tour started with a visit to the QR255m power station in Duhail which went into stream in March 2015.
During the tour, Dr Al Sada attended a presentation on the most important ongoing projects and future projects of Kahramaa.
Most of these projects are aimed at developing the electricity and water networks in the country as well as to enhance the quality of services provided to customers in line with Qatar’s ambitious National Vision 2030.
At the end of the tour, Dr Al Sada praised the projects and efforts exerted to promote the electricity and water sector in the country.
