World Kidney Day was marked by Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) with much fanfare. HMC held an event at the Katara Cultural Village to mark the occasion. A number of schools, including Asian, took part in the events and students staged cultural shows. Food stalls were set up and children had a gala time as goodies were distributed as gifts. There were free medical check-ups as well and people mostly got their sugar and blood levels checked.
