Doha: The Second Humanitarian Work Partners Forum begins here today, under the auspices of the Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani.
The four-day forum is organised by Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah for Humanitarian Services (RAF) under the title “The Excellence of Performance and Sustainability in Giving” for four days at the Torch Hotel.
More than 150 delegates will participate in the event including senior leaders and executives of charity and humanitarian work institutions who are partners of “RAF” Foundation in 100 international organisations in the world.
The forum will be held under the auspices of several Qatari companies and Institutions such as Ezdan Holding, Qatar International Islamic Bank, Aspire Zone Foundation, Qatar Petrochemical Company, Qatar Electricity and Water Corporation and Qatar Airways.
Dr Mohamed Salah Ibrahim, the Executive Director of RAF Foundation said in a statement: “The Foundation has exerted all its capabilities and its expertise so that this Forum will be in the best picture and the best form benefitting from the recommendations and the results of the Forum of last year.”
He added that the forum this year aims in particular to benefit from the leaders of Islamic charities and charity work founders and benefit from the lessons and experiences of the past decades, while establishing its work and efforts on transparency and accountability and the quality of the institutional work as well as dealing with all the responsibility with the systems of domestic and international laws and its developments without changing its direction towards empowering the beneficiaries to contribute with a prominent role in sustainable development based on the principles and major objectives of humanitarian charity work.
The forum emphasises that RAF Foundation takes into account by study and analysis all the recommendations and proposals that were written down at the end of the first forum by the participants, and it clarified them in the form of workshops and public lectures in this conference in conjunction with the events.
