Qatar to organise forum on cultural heritage protection

DOHA: The International Symposium on Legal Protection of Cultural Heritage will be held in Sheraton Doha from March 29 to 31.
Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage H E Dr Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al Kuwari will inaugurate the conference, said Ibrahim Abdul Rahim Albuhashim, Deputy Director, Heritage Department at the ministry, which is organising the event.
The three-day symposium falls within the context of ensuring implementation of resolutions issued by the ministers responsible for cultural affairs in the Arab world. 
It calls for an agenda to organise scientific and training activities in the field of tangible and intangible cultural heritage in Arab states, and implementing them in cooperation with local and international bodies in each state, according to its needs.
The symposium papers focus on three themes, including the concept of the legal protection of cultural heritage in the light of intellectual property; technical aspects of tangible and intangible cultural heritage; and Qatari legislation on the protection of tangible and intangible cultural heritage. the peninsula

Minister meets AWI president
