Cricket: Eight teams to compete in Stallions Academy tourney

As many as eight teams will vie for honour at the third Intra-Academy Tournament of Stallions Cricket Academy (SCA) for U-15 players which begins tomorrow  at Qatar Cricket Association Grounds.
 The event which will conclude on April 8will be sponsored by City Exchange, White Oceanic and Nice Water Company.
Commenting on the tournament, Sidath Tennakoon, the head coach of Stallions said: “Our aim in this tournament is to provide much needed playing experience to our youngsters. We believe that through such tournaments the players are able to perform to the best of their abilities and improve their skills.”
Stallions Sports Services is one of the leading sports academies in Doha, affiliated to the Qatar Cricket Association.
The academy currently provides coaching in cricket, basketball and badminton for juniors from the age of six years and above through a well-qualified and experienced team of coaches.
The academy has already completed several Cricket tours to England, Sri Lanka and UAE during the past three years. The tour to Australia is already scheduled to be in July 2017.
The academy was launched with the purpose of developing the game of cricket in Qatar, and to provide opportunities to aspiring young cricketers to have the opportunity to learn from ICC and ACC qualified coaches.
