Ministry announces government healthcare sector working hours for Eid Al-Fitr

Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) announced today the working hours across the government health sector during the upcoming Eid Al-Fitr holiday.

The Ministry confirmed that all emergency services and inpatient care at Hamad Medical Corporation hospitals (HMC), including Pediatric Emergency Centers, will continue to operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The ambulance service will also remain fully operational around the clock as usual.

The Qatar National Blood Donation Center will continue receiving donors during the remaining days of the Holy Month of Ramadan in two shifts: from 8am to 1pm and from 6pm to 12 midnight, except for the first day of Eid and the upcoming Friday. 

The center will resume receiving donors from Saturday through Monday from 9am to 9pm.

A total of 21 health centers out of 31 operated by the Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) will remain open during the Eid Al-Fitr holiday. In addition, the corporation provides emergency care services that will be available in 14 health centers, including eight health centers dedicated to providing urgent care for children.  

The Ministry of Public Health has directed the government health sector corporation to announce the detailed working hours of its services during the Eid Al-Fitr holiday.

The Ministry also announced the operational hours for several of its service departments during the Eid Al-Fitr holiday. 

The Medical Relations and Treatment Abroad Department will receive visitors at the Ministry of Public Health building from 9am to 12pm, except on the first day of Eid and on Fridays and Saturdays.

The Newborn Registration Office, located at the Women's Health and Research Center, will operate from 8am to 12pm throughout the Eid holiday, except on the first day of Eid and on Fridays and Saturdays.

The Death Registration unit will receive visitors at the Unified Humanitarian Services Office daily during the Eid Al-Fitr holiday, from 8am to 12pm. 

The Ministry of Public Health also clarified that the unified Healthcare Sector Contact Center (16000) will remain 24 hours a day, seven days a week throughout the holiday period
