DOHA: HE the Minister of Awqaf (Endowments) and Islamic Affairs Dr. Ghaith bin Mubarak Al Kuwari has issued two ministerial decisions appointing Mohammed Lahdan al-Mohannadi as Assistant to the Director General of Awqaf General Directorate and Khalifa Jassim al-Kubaisi as Director of the Department of Endowment Banks at Awqaf General Directorate.
Awqaf General Directorate is responsible for the overall supervision of Endowments in the State of Qatar and its primary function is to manage and invest endowment funds in an economic basis in accordance with Shari'ah (Islamic law) in order to develop, maintain and spend them in banks under endowers' conditions.
