DOHA: Qatar Red Crescent (QRC)-managed state ambulance and rescue system has improved services during the past one year as its staff pay increasing attention to quantitative and qualitative expansion of activities and capabilities, as well as continuous training for performance up to international standards.
QRC takes on a full range of healthcare responsibilities, which include medical coverage of most Qatar-hosted local and international conferences, sports events, and festivals; offering first aid and rescue services for visitors to Sealine Beach, touristic events at Souq Waqif and Qatar National Convention Centre and major malls; and carrying out seasonal medical undertakings such as Ramadan’s healthcare project and Qatar’s Hajj Medical Mission.
Over the last few months, the health sector was supported with additional well-equipped ambulances for high-quality, timely, and cost-effective emergency response.
