Doha: Mwani Qatar announced that the Doha port had received 273,666 passengers & crew arriving on 55 ships, a remarkable record for the 2022/2023 season for cruise traffic, and up 166% & 62% up over the 2021/2022 season.
The national port authority in Qatar remarked that a total of 19,400 tourists made their turnarounds voyages through the port during the season.
It confirmed that the Doha port plays an important role in boosting the country’s marine tourism, in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030’s goals.
On April 10, German cruise ship “AIDAcosma” docked at the Doha port, the last cruise ship of the 2022/2023 cruise season, carrying over 5500 tourists and 1393 crew members board.
