The Changanacherry NSS College Alumni Association, Qatar Chapter (Chanss-Qatar), celebrated its fourth anniversary at a colourful function at the Crystal Palace Hotel last Friday.
More than 300 people attended the celebrations, highlighted by several musical and cultural programmes.
Chanss-Qatar bid farewell to one of its founding members P S Venugopal and his wife Suchitra Venugopal. They are returning to India for good, after almost three decades of stay in Dukhan, where Venugopal was employed with Qatar Petroleum.
Chanss-Qatar President Bindu Varughese and General Secretary Giridharan Nair presented mementoes to the couple while Varghese Mathew, T P Rajendran and Mannar Ajith Prabha delivered felicitation speeches.
The association also honoured Anjana Anil Kumar (Birla Public School) and Nidhi Radhakrishnan (MES Indian School), who excelled in the recent 12th standard examinations conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE-India).
