DOHA: Qatar Exchange pursued its upswing trend Tuesday, adding 37.97 points or 0.40 percent to advance to 9,437.27 points from 9,399.30 on Monday.
The volume of the shares traded up to 5,788,240 from 3,584,897 on Monday and the value of shares increased to QR 196,097,407.58 from QR141,787,991.61 Monday.
Among the top gainers were Industries Qatar which was up 0.75 percent to QR162.20, Qatar Electricity and Water rose 2.65 percent to QR162.70, Qatar Telecom or Ooredoo gained 1.20 percent to QR126.50 and Qatar Navigation up by 1.25 percent to QR72.90.
The Banking and Financial sector index up 0.09 points while Insurance sector index down 0.16 points and Industrial sector rose 1.93 points. (QNA)
