1357 new firms established in June: MEC

Some 1,357 new companies were established here in June 2017, according to an internal trade report released by the Ministry of Economy and Commerce.
The report said the commercial registrations for the month was 972, while the number of new sub-registries was 385.  Some 63 percent of these were limited liability companies. 193 commercial registrations were issued for  contracting companies in June. Some 125 commercial registrations were by restaurants, fruit and vegetable vendors. This was followed by public goods retail and clothing firms accounting for 95 commercial registrations.
The number of commercial permits that were issued, amended, or renewed were 5,530. Some 247 companies were shuttered in June. The ministry also conducted a total of 21,935 transactions.
