MES holds ‘musical and acting talents ride’ competition

Doha: As part of its effort to promote students’ latent talents, M.E.S. Indian School recently organised the musical and acting talents ride (MATR) with Principal Hameeda Kadar as chief guest. 

Kadar, in her speech, encouraged students to participate actively in all the competitions as these contribute significantly to the holistic development of students, which is one of the major objectives of the school.

MATR-2022 provided an opportunity for the students to display their talent in music and other theatrical skills. 

Students from all the three categories: junior, intermediate, and senior performed exceedingly well in their youthful exuberance on various items which included mappilappattu, light music, film music, western and classical music. 

The finalists were selected by a panel of judges. 

Sarang U. won in the film song category while Muhammed Hasbin won in the junior category. 

In the western music segment, David Ninan John and Vishnu Vinod Krishnan, from the senior and intermediate categories respectively bagged the first prize.

Aravind C.A and Gautam Jinesh from the intermediate and junior categories stood first in the light music. Muhammed Hasbin won the first prize in mappillapattu.

In the girls section, Nikhita Jude, Haya Noorudheen and Raina Jasir received the first prize in western music from the senior, intermediate and junior categories respectively. 

Alicia Saji, Alvia Saji and Pallavi Vinu Pillai from the senior, intermediate and junior categories respectively won under film song section. 

Sheikha Khalid and Naifah Afsalin, the senior and junior category bagged the first prize in mappillapattu.  Sai Krishna won first place in classical music in the intermediate category.  Nandana Santhosh won first place in the light music in the intermediate category. 

The MATR-2022 was a huge success, providing an excellent platform for the students to showcase their innate talents. 

The occasion was graced by the presence of all the key functionaries of the school.
