All govt employees to be tested for hepatitis in Baluchistan

ISLAMABAD: The provincial government of Baluchistan has decided to test all its 2,50,000 employees for hepatitis and ensure their vaccination from the epidemic ailment. A meeting of health department headed by the Chief Minister Baluchistan Dr Abdul Malik Baloch was held here in Quetta.

Addressing the meeting, CM Baluchistan said the disease had been spreading rapidly in the province and immediate steps needed to be taken to avert further damage.

“Government has taken the matter very seriously and a vaccination campaign will soon be started” he said, adding that vaccination will start from the affected areas of Nasirabad, Jaffarabad, Kachi and Kohlu.

 CM said all the provincial government employees will be examined for the virus and if found ailing, they will be treated by the government.

“Employees not following the directive shall face action” he warned.

Sources said the meeting also decided to test and vaccinate all students of schools, colleges and universitiesv. Baluchistan is a province of Pakistan which spreads primarily on the eastern parts of the geographic region of Baluchistan
