Bharathi marks Indian I-Day
Bharathi, an Indian Association at Al Khor community, celebrated the Independence Day of India at Al Khor community. Community residents showcased India’s cultural diversity in form of dances, speeches and quiz. By dressing as freedom fighters in fancy dress programme little children also showed their love and affection towards their home country. Vishal J Mehta in his presidential speech recounted the hardship and sacrifices of freedom fighters, which gives opportunity to today’s generation to breath air of freedom. Hard work by Kenet Coelho, Sujata Gokhale and Manisha Patel was glittered on successful execution of the event. A token of appreciation was presented to all performers by Bharathi Excom and visiting parents. Screening of live speech of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was highlight of the celebrations. Dhaval Parmar presented vote of thanks.
