BRUSSELS: The European banned Tuesday all members of the Syrian cabinet from travelling to any of the EU's member countries, in a bid to sanction Syria into ending violence.
EU said today that it agreed similar restrictive measures against former Syrian ministers who held their posts during the crisis in Syria, more than a year and a half ago. The measures included assets freeze.
In 19 rounds of sanctions, the EU has now imposed asset freezes and travel bans on a total of 181 people and 54 entities. Most of them were Syrian businessmen close to the Syrian regime and Bashar Al Assad. (QNA)
