Kabul: A suicide bomber was killed in eastern Paktiya province of Afghanistan on Monday after he blew himself up inside a hospital.
Interior Ministry officials said the bomber was arrested along with his explosives by security forces.
Sediq Sediq, spokesman for the ministry, said the bomber was looking to start clashes with security forces, but was injured after police opened fire on him.
Sediqi said the bomber was injured and taken to hospital in Gadez city, where he blew himself up.
He said only the bomber was killed following the explosion and there were no civilian or security forces casualties.
No group, including the Taliban, has claimed responsibility so far. Agencies
