Qatar’s Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC), in cooperation with the Ministry of Trade and Industry in Singapore, is organising the Qatar-Singapore Economic Forum today at Shangri-La Hotel in Singapore.
The forum comes within the framework of the Emir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani’s visit to Singapore.The forum will build on Qatar’s long history of friendly relations with Singapore in a bid to bolster commercial ties between the two countries. Today, Singapore ranks as Qatar’s 7th largest trade partner with a total of QR12.2bn ($3.4bn) worth of traded goods in 2016, the equivalent of 3.8 percent of Qatar’s total trade exchange around the world.
