QNA

Tehran: The Iranian presidency announced that President Ebrahim Raisi held a phone call on Monday with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, during which they discussed the the Caucasus region, as well as the latest developments in the Gaza Strip, which has been subject to an Israeli aggression for more than a week now.

Deputy Chief of Staff for Political Affairs to Iran's President Mohammad Jamshidi stated that the Iranian President "warned about continued Zionist war crimes."

The Iranian official added, "President Raisi said the continued siege, massacre of women, children and a ground attack on Gaza and its legal and elected government will lead to a long and multifront war".

The past few days have seen intensified regional efforts to stop the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip and end the war, after Israeli bombardments claimed the lives of hundreds of civilians and left widespread destruction in infrastructure, and displaced thousands.
