High-profile Qatari team for Abu Dhabi traffic meeting

DOHA:: Public and private companies in Qatar will share their growing expertise and innovation in traffic management at next week’s Gulf Traffic conference in Abu Dhabi.

Gulf Traffic, organised by Informa Exhibitions at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre between  November 19 and November 21, will be attended by more than 3,000 transport industry professionals and government agencies from across the Middle East.

A number of high-profile Qatari delegates are attending Gulf Traffic to network with their peers, and share the expertise and innovative solutions they are developing. These delegates represent, among others, the Arab Center For Engineering Studies; Salam International Investment Co; Al Jaber & Makhlouf; Smart Mobility Solutions; Doha Industrial Safety Services; Al Fahd Consulting & Technology; Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Co, and the Public Works Authority (Ashghal).

Qatari companies have registered interest in the conference focus on the development of data strategies and intelligence for the improvement of road safety, as well as ways to increase pedestrian safety and the implementation of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), given Qatar’s allocation of $17bn to road projects ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. 

The Gulf Traffic conference will feature two speakers from Public Works Authority (Ashghal) including Abdulaziz Al Sada, Head of Safety – Operations & Traffic Control Division & Imad Nassereddine, Highways & Roads O&M Advisor.
