Doha: W Doha, the first lifestyle hotel in Qatar, on Wednesday presented, “W Revealed: Mona Al Ansari collection”, during an hour long fashion show held in the setting of the Lusail Marina.
Mona Al Ansari is fast becoming one of the country’s most exciting fashion talents, having won the second edition of the W Doha and VCU-Q Fashion Award earlier this year. With the support of Tajmeel, Qatar’s International Beauty Academy, who were on hand to do hair and makeup, the collection that was inspired by the W Doha and comprised trendy colours and unusual shapes was a huge success. The line, which consisted of 24 unique pieces, was debuted during an evening presentation in front of a selection of Doha’s fashionistas and notable members from the local design and fashion industries.
In describing her new collection, designer Al Ansari commented: “Today’s modelled designs reflect the modern face of Qatar, and are inspired by the W Doha, one of the most vibrant symbols of this forward thinking Qatari attitude.”
