The first edition of Qatar International Boat Show features a variety of boats and luxury yachts made by manufactures from around the globe. The Ritz-Carlton Doha-owned Sharq, a Mangusta 165 model from Overmarine Group, is the largest boat at the show. With a top speed of 40 knots, this model is the fastest maxi open yacht in the world. The 50-metre-long boat has an owner’s cabin, a VIP cabin and three guest cabins along with amenities like sauna and jacuzzi.
Around 100 exhibitors from countries, including the UAE, Italy, Japan, Turkey, France, Cyprus, Germany, Monaco, Egypt, the UK, Canada, Poland, Bahrain, Switzerland and Qatar, are participating in the expo, which ends today.
Qatar is represented by Al Wakra, Al Udeid, Halul and Milaha — all of which manufacture highly cost-effective fibreglass boats.
