Ankara: Turkiye welcomed on Sunday the signing of the Doha Framework Agreement for Peace between the government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Congo River Alliance (M23 Movement).
A statement from the Foreign Ministry said the agreement marks a significant step towards acheiving a lasting solution to the conflict in eastern DR Congo.
The statement praised the State of Qatar's efforts, along with those of all parties involved in supporting stability in the Great Lakes region.
Turkiye reaffirmed that it would continue to support all initiatives aimed at promoting peace, security, and stability across Africa.
