Mesaieed International School holds prize distribution ceremony

Qatar Petroleum’s Mesaieed International School (MIS) recently celebrated the achievements of its Year 11 students in their International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examinations and their work in the current academic year.

The prize-giving ceremony, held on December 4, was attended by the parents and teachers of the Year 11 students, senior officials of QP, and other guests from the Mesaieed community.

The certificates were handed out by Ahmad Ali Abdulla Al Mawlawi, Director for Administration of QP, Abdulla Omar Ismail Al Dafaa, Human Resources Manager, Tamader Abdulla S Al Khater, Acting Manager for Personnel Administration Manager, Nawaf Al Khalifa, Head of Personnel Administration (Mesaieed), and Kevin John Massey, headmaster of MIS.

The event, which was hosted by Jane Goldsack, Head of Secondary School, celebrated an excellent set of examination results all-round with many of the students achieving grades that would place them in the top 10 percent of all pupils worldwide.  

The achievements of two students who achieved the highest marks among all students in Qatar in two Cambridge International Examinations got particular recognition in the ceremony. Mohammed Khaled Hassan achieved the highest marks in Qatar for IGCSE Physics, and Kevin Kobina Morgan achieved the highest marks in Qatar for IGCSE English as a Second Language.
