DOHA: Texas A&M University in Qatar opened the 2012 Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) International Design and Test Symposium yesterday at the Hilton Doha.
The three-day symposium will focus on exploring emerging challenges and novel concepts in design, automation and test of electronic products.
The electronic products under discussion range from integrated circuits through multi-chip modules and printed circuit boards to full systems and Microsystems, as well as examining the methodologies and tools used in the design, verification and silicon debug of such products.
IDT provides a unique forum to discuss best practices and novel approaches in design, automation and testing in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region. The event is initiated and sponsored by the IEEE Computer Society, Test Technology Technical Council and organized by the University.
Dr Mark H Weichold, Texas A&M at Qatar Dean and CEO said, “Texas A&M at Qatar is proud to organise and support gatherings such as this because they promote academic discourse and exchange. I want to thank and acknowledge Mentor Graphics for its generous sponsorship of this conference, as well as TTTC, IEEE and the IEEE Computer Society for their support.”
