DOHA: A new phase of training will begin for food inspectors at different municipalities tomorrow.
The Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning will hold the training programme with several modules, including fundamentals of food inspection, to enhance skills and ability of inspectors.
Every training module includes a theory session and a practical session and comprises legal background of inspection, how to identify violations, how to take samples, and how to communicate with the laboratory.
The training programme will also teach inspectors on how to analyse a violation.
The technical aspects of the programme will include public health principles, conditions for restaurants and eateries and reasons which spoil food.
The practical sessions of the programme include like food safety, inspection on dangerous materials which spoil food, monitoring food quality and modern ways of examination during inspection.
The modules for the program for inspectors are designed by a special team at the Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning.
