Doha: The ‘Emerald Azzura’ superyacht arrived at the Doha port on its maiden voyage carrying 138 tourists along with the crew.
Part of the Australia-based Scenic Group, the 110 metres long and 16 metres wide superyacht is operated by Emerald Cruises.
The vessel homeporting in Doha comes as part of a partnership between Emerald Cruises and Doha Tourism, with the tourism program including a number of ports in the region.
The Emerald Azzurra, sailing under the Bahamas flag, was constructed at Halong Shipbuilding Co. in Vietnam and was originally custom-designed to sail the waters of the Adriatic Coast, the Red Sea, and the Mediterranean.
The 5,175 tonnes total-carrying capacity ship was constructed with the aim of combining the amenities of cruising with the luxuries of a private yacht.
