Chennai: Chairman of Qatar’s Administrative Control and Transparency Authority (ACTA), H E Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah who is also the Chairman of the 2012 United Nations Climate Change Conference for COP18/CMP8 Doha, participated in the 14th ministerial meeting of the BASIC Group on climate change which is organised by the Indian Ministry of Environment and Forests in Chennai.
Al Attiyah said expressed his appreciation for the generous efforts and firm commitment India has taken during the Doha conference.
The ACTA’s pointed out that the major resolutions the Doha Conference on Climate Change had adopted included special resolutions related to the Action Plan of Durban also known as (ADP) and another decision related to Kyoto Protocol amendments and a third one connected with the Technical Working Group on collaborative work on the long term, which is known as (AWG-LCA)
The participants of the meeting are to discuss the outcomes of the several key resolutions of the 18th Climate Change Conference held in Doha in November last year and review the most important resolutions related to climate change.
The meeting was also attended by Qatar’s Ambassador to India Hassan Mohammed Rafeh Al Emadi.
