Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani has issued the Emiri decision No.12/ of 2014 appointing Abdullah Eid salman Al Sulaiti, as Qatar’s Ambassador to Italy. The decision is effective and operative as of the date of issue and to be published in the official gazette.

Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani has ratified the cabinet decision No. 15/of 2014 extending the lease contracts of some parts of the non-residential areas.
Emir, PM greet Lithuanian leader
Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani has sent a cable of greetings to President of the Republic of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskait on the occasion of her country’s National Day.
The Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani has also sent a similar cable to Lithuanian leader.
Qatar condemns Taba explosion
Doha: Qatar has strongly condemned the explosion which targeted a tourist coach at Taba land crossing in Egypt’s Sinai yesterday, killing at least three people and wounding 13 others mostly Koreans.
An official source at the Foreign Ministry expressed Qatar’s solidarity with the Egyptian and Korean peoples. “Qatar condemns such acts that aim at undermining security and stability and terrorising civilians and denounces the killing of innocents, the source said, offering Qatar’s condolences to the two countries and the families of victims,” the source said.
