PESHAWAR: Police baton charged jail wardens protesting outside the Khyber Pakhtunkwa (KP) Assembly building on Tuesday.
The jail wardens were protesting against the termination of their induction as the KP government had a day earlier cancelled around 800 warden appointments.
As the protest that began in the morning got out of control, the police baton charged them to calm the situation.
The protestors had also blocked two way traffic on Khyber road.
