Jakarta: Rescuers were searching for 13 people who were missing after a cargo ship sank off Indonesia's Papua province over the weekend, a report said Wednesday.

The KM Azula capsized about 11 kilometres off Asmat district after it hit a rock, Indonesian (Antara) news agency said.

Four boats had been sent to look for the missing crew, Antara said.
