DAKES Qatar celebrates anniversary

DAKES, Alumni of Government Engineering College of Kannur, Qatar chapter, celebrated their 15th Anniversary, by conducting a grand event of mind and music “DAKES XVANGANZA” at Al Massa Ballroom at Holiday Inn Business Park, Doha, recently. DAKES made its humble beginning with membership of 15 plus engineers in 2004 and has now become one of the largest professional groups comprising of around 150+ qualified engineers from India, in Qatar.
The formal inauguration of DAKES XVANGANZA was done by lighting the lamp by Eng Ahmed Jassim Jolo who was accompanied and attended by other eminent personalities of which included Azim Abbas, President IBPC,  Abdul Sathar – Chairman, Institute of Engineers in India, Qatar  Chapter,   Eng Shaji Francis – Chairman, Engineers Forum Qatar, DAKES XVANGANZA Organising committee President Basheer KP, Organising committee members Basheer VPM, Binu Gopal, Niji, Unnikrishnan AV, Jusjith, Subair, Biju Panickar, Premnath, Sudheer Edamana, Shoukath Ali TV, Nidhin OC, Praveen.
The official function commenced with DAKES Organising committee member Engineer Niji Padma Gosh  welcoming all. Binu Gopal narrated to the audiences the brief history of DAKES, its achievements and ambitions. This was followed up with release of a souvenir named “Reflections” to mark the occasion of the 15th anniversary celebrations of DAKES by Souvenir committee President Basheer VPM . The eminent personalities present on stage lauded the style and content of the “Reflections”. Following this Shoukath Ali TV thanked all the guests and opened the stage for the Mind and Music show.
The mind-blowing musical show by Project Malabaricus Band flown-in from India lead by Sithara Krishnakumar, two times Kerala state award winning singer, featured  Niranj Suresh, whose “ Poomuthole nee erinja vazhiyil" from the movie Joseph had become an all-time hit, ably supported by versatile and dynamic singer Mithun Jayaraj along with the other orchestra team members took the whole venue to jewels of muscial world.
The event showcased a spectacular unravelling mysteries of mind by Mentalist Aathi and this took the whole venue by surprise, when even small movements of mind were read by Aathi and when finally a pre-recorded video showing the participants answers in the mind was shown, the whole venue stopped for a moment in disbelief, then to stand up and clap their hands and to pound unprecedented reception and congratulation to Aathi, which was never seen before. 
The Project Malabaricus Band then continued their Musical show with guests enjoying a sumptuous dinner along with divine music. In the end, the enthusiastic and dancing audience left the venue with a great memory of an enthralling grand show that propelled them to the zenith of ecstasy.
The DAKES XVANGANZA Organising committee expressed their incessant love, appreciation and thanks to all the eminent guests, artists, the venue, the light and sound providers,  Organising committee members whose hard work spanning over the months made the grand event possible and each and every member of DAKES for their unrelenting support.
