New office bearers of Indian Physiotherapy Forum Qatar

Doha: The Indian Physiotherapy Forum Qatar (IPFQ) conducted its 8th annual general body meeting on February 11, 2022.

The meeting was attended by many of its members and management committee. The general body recognised and awarded its COVID-19 heros in healthcare during pandemic. The members also successfully elected the new office bearers for 2022 -24.

IPFQ pronounce its new office bearers headed by Mohamed Shafi President, Arun Christopher Vice President, Biju Nirmal Jacob General Secretary, Nivedita Vishwanathan Joint Secretary and Shahir M T as Treasurer with the Management Committee members Muhammad Hussain, Nalin Kotheri, Priyank Jain, Zulfeequer Chundan, Mohamed Shajith, Roshna Madhur. The members will lead various committees and its operations in 2022-24.

IPFQ Former President Mohamed Shameem officially handed over the responsibilities and operational guidelines manual to the newly elected president during the event. Shafi said that the good work established by IPFQ in the past for the welfare of the Indian community and professional growth of the Physiotherapists will be continued affiliated with Indian Business and Professionals Council (IBPC) under the guidence of Indian Embassy, Qatar.

IPFQ will conduct & associate in various medical camps and scientific educational programs once COVID-19 restrictions are eased. 

Earlier during the IPFQ’s general body meeting, Binoy Das former general secretary while presenting the biennial report said that the achievements of IPFQ and the contribution of its heroic members in their respective organisations to the COVID -19 pandemic response by Qatar. 

Former treasurer Jyothi presented the audited financial report. Former joint secretary gave the vote of thanks to the gathering and concluded the event.

Since 2014 IPFQ continues to be a frontline association serving the community and the Indian expat workforce in Qatar.
